How you access SafeSend Next Gen Gather AI

SafeSend Next Gen Gather AI is accessed solely through your email address.
No client portal. No extra logins. No passwords to remember.

Your Next Gen Gather AI request is sent to the email address we have on file for you.

  • Email subject line: “Action Required: Please Complete Your Next Gen Gather AI Request for TKG Tax & Accounting”
  • Click “Let’s Get Started” to go to TKG Tax & Accounting’s landing page.

On the left side of the landing page, you’ll see three clearly defined action items. They are separated for clarity and easy tracking.

Sign Documents

Your first step is to electronically sign your annual tax return engagement letter.

  • We are required by our insurance carrier to obtain a signed engagement letter before we can begin preparing your return.
  • If you file jointly, you will be prompted to send it to your spouse for their signature.
  • After signatures are complete, a copy of the signed engagement letter will be emailed to you.
Answer Questionnaire

Next, you will be prompted to complete the mandatory annual tax questionnaire.

  • In addition to providing us with valuable insight into your tax filings, we are required by professional standards and IRS due diligence rules to ask these questions as part of preparing your income tax return.
Upload Documents

After the questionnaire, you’ll move to Upload Documents.

  • Using your prior year’s return as a guide, SafeSend Next Gen Gather AI provides a document request list based on what we typically need to prepare your current-year return.
  • Once uploaded on this page, the system will recognize your documents automatically and check them off your list. If the system cannot recognize them, you have the ability to label or tag your recently uploaded documents.
  • If an item no longer applies, click “NA” next to that document to mark it not applicable.
  • Not ready with everything yet? No problem. Click “Save & Close” and come back later.
  • When you’re done, click “Finish” to submit your documents.

What SafeSend Next Gen Gather AI does for you

SafeSend Next Gen Gather AI uses automation to make document collection simpler.

  • It gives you a clear list of what to upload, based on your situation.
  • It recognizes common tax forms even when file names are wrong or generic.
  • It shows a real-time status checklist, so you know what is done and what is missing.
  • It sends reminders and notifications, so deadlines do not sneak up on you.

Practical tips to move faster

Use these steps to avoid delays.

  • Create one folder for tax documents as soon as you get forms.
  • Upload documents as you receive them. Do not wait for everything.
  • Include all pages of each form, even if a page looks blank.
  • Upload supporting items for life changes, like a new home, a new baby, or a new job.
  • If you are unsure, upload it anyway. We can tell you if we need it.

Mailing or dropping off documents instead

Electronic upload is our preferred method. It is faster and more secure.

If you choose to mail or drop off documents:

  • On the document request list, mark all of the requested files as “NA” (red button)
  • Click “Finish”

This notifies our office that you did not upload documents and that we should expect paper delivery of your tax documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an extension change anything here?

Yes and no. You still need the same documents. Next Gen Gather AI simply helps you collect them in an orderly way, whether you file now or later.

Yes. Uploading is designed to be simple from any device.

That is okay. The system can identify many document types even when the name is wrong.
